As Head of Partnerships & Communications, Miriam develops and maintains the extensive network of THE STORY OF A NEW WORLD. She manages collaborations with partners, ambassadors, and sponsors from the initial idea through to implementation and ensures consistent and impactful external communication for the project.
With a master’s degree in International Relations and extensive experience in effective network management, she combines strategic thinking with a strong sense for purposeful communication and sustainable collaboration.
Since completing her training as a production manager at the Film School Cologne in Babelsberg, Gabriele has overseen the production and manufacturing processes of numerous TV and film productions at fechnerMEDIA. With THE STORY OF A NEW WORLD, she is keeping track of diverse parallel processes – from financing to strategy development to personnel matters – and steers them in productive directions as an experienced expert. After over 20 years at fechnerMEDIA, she is like a living encyclopaedia, with impressively accurate intuition. Unwavering even in thunderstorms on an outdoor shoot, Gabriele always remains true to her motto: „There’s a solution for everything!“
Katja Schwenke is a visionary, entrepreneur, investor, and author. Since earning her degree in Business Administration and International Management, she has been committed to fostering a shift in values and systems within the economy.
During the pioneering years of renewable energy, she spent a decade as Chairwoman of the Board at WKN AG (now PNE Group), developing the company from a startup into a leading mid-sized enterprise operating across Europe and the United States.
A burnout became a turning point, leading to the realization that sustainable transformation unfolds its full potential not only externally but through an inner attitude. This marked the beginning of a new chapter that included further studies in documentary filmmaking, screenwriting, and consciousness research.
Katja later founded LEADERS FOR TOMORROW, a sparring and coaching initiative for top executives navigating the transition toward a more conscious era. In THE STORY OF A NEW WORLD, she brings together her unique combination of business experience and transformative insight.
Johannes Obermaier is a Director of Photography with international experience in documentary, series, and feature film productions. His visual style combines authenticity with precision and emotional depth. Johannes has worked for clients including Netflix, Disney+, Sky, ARD, ZDF, Arte, BR, 3sat, KiKA, and Nickelodeon. His work has received multiple awards, including the 2025 German Television Award for „Kaulitz & Kaulitz“ (Best Entertainment Reality) and „Against All Gods – Die Glaubens-WG“ (Best Documentary).
He studied cinematography at the Filmuniversität Babelsberg Konrad Wolf and is a member of the German Association of Cinematographers (BVK).
As the 1st AC on set, Georg ensures sharp shots primarily. „Pulling focus“ refers to the manual adjustment of the focal plane on the lens. A task that requires high and enduring concentration! Georg knows all about the latest developments in professional film cameras and is familiar with the latest gadgets and accessories because when he’s not on set, he works in product development at Arri.
Peter can be recognized on set by his headphones and boom microphone. If an airplane, barking dog, or motorcycle in the background interferes with the scene’s sound, he asks for the take to be repeated. In this way, he ensures that the inspiring words of our protagonists can reach millions of people in cinemas. Peter not only has an attentive ear during filming – behind the scenes, his warm personality also creates a harmonious atmosphere.
The future is not out there in front of us, but inside us.
